The seven-day Bharat Darshan tour organised by the 2nd Battalion, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), from January 30 to February 5, 2026, concluded today with a valedictory function held at the 2nd Battalion Headquarters, Pattan.
The concluding ceremony was graced by Commandant Asheesh Naithani Second-in-Command Hari Charan Prasad, along with officers and officials of 02 Bn SSB, Pattan. Local dignitaries, members of the tour contingent and media persons were also present on the occasion.

The Bharat Darshan programme was aimed at providing students with an opportunity to explore the country’s rich cultural heritage, historical importance and national diversity. According to the feedback received from the participating students, the tour proved to be successful, purposeful and highly enlightening. The students expressed satisfaction over the exposure gained during the visit and said that it helped build a new level of confidence among them.


The students noted that the tour enhanced their understanding of India’s history and the significance of various historical and heritage sites, while also contributing to the development of their practical and creative knowledge. They added that the visit fostered discipline, team spirit, mutual coordination and a sense of collective responsibility.

Officials said that the knowledge and exposure gained during the tour would play a vital role in steering the youth away from the influence of anti-national elements and drug abuse. The programme is also in line with the vision of the Sashastra Seema Bal to promote a sense of security among the people of the Valley and to create a healthy environment through strong coordination and mutual trust between the forces and the public.
The programme concluded with an address by Commandant Asheesh Naithani, who congratulated the students on the successful completion of the tour and wished them the best for their future endeavours. He urged them to utilise the experience gained to contribute positively towards nation-building and social harmony.
