CM Yogi Adityanath Strengthens Uttar Pradesh–Japan Economic Ties During Tokyo Visit.

Tokyo: During his official visit to Japan, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a series of high-level meetings aimed at deepening economic cooperation between Uttar Pradesh and Japan and enhancing bilateral trade and investment engagement.

In Tokyo, the Chief Minister had a productive meeting with KOMORI Takuo, Hon’ble Parliamentary Vice Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Government of Japan. The discussions focused on strengthening Uttar Pradesh–Japan economic cooperation, expanding trade relations, and promoting greater Japanese investment across key sectors of mutual interest.

During the meeting, CM Yogi Adityanath highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s investor-friendly policies, robust infrastructure development, improved law and order situation, and expanding industrial ecosystem. He emphasized opportunities in manufacturing, MSMEs, electronics, logistics, and emerging industries, and invited Japanese companies to participate more actively in the state’s growth journey. Mr. Komori expressed keen interest in expanding Japanese industrial engagement with Uttar Pradesh and appreciated the state government’s proactive approach toward investment facilitation.

The Chief Minister also met NISHIMURA Yasutoshi, Former Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), during his visit. The interaction included meaningful discussions on strengthening Uttar Pradesh–Japan cooperation within the broader framework of India–Japan relations. The talks focused on institutional collaboration, economic partnerships, and enhancing people-to-people exchanges.

CM Adityanath underlined Uttar Pradesh’s rapid economic growth, progressive industrial policies, and commitment to creating a conducive ecosystem for global investors. He emphasized Japan’s important role in Uttar Pradesh’s development trajectory and invited deeper strategic cooperation across sectors.
Mr. Nishimura appreciated the transformation underway in Uttar Pradesh and expressed his commitment to further advancing UP–Japan ties.

The meetings mark an important step in reinforcing Uttar Pradesh’s global outreach strategy and positioning the state as a preferred investment destination for Japanese enterprises.
