हिटलर यहां 20 अप्रैल 1889 में पैदा हुआ था। हालांकि, वो 3 साल की उम्र तक ही यहां रहा। किराये का घर होने की वजह से हिटलर का परिवार यहां से चला गया था। 2016 में काफी लंबे विवाद के बाद ऑस्ट्रिया की सरकार ने इस बिल्डिंग को खरीद लिया था।
