A five-day international film festival, IFFAS 2026, has begun in Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh. Over the years, the International Film Festival for Ancient Splendour (IFFAS) has gained global recognition and is now emerging as an important platform connecting cinema with cultural heritage.

The festival is not only showcasing India’s rich cultural legacy but is also bringing together films from more than 30 countries on a single platform. On the opening day, audiences witnessed screenings of Hindi and regional Indian films along with international feature films and documentaries.

The event is being attended by diplomats from several countries, film directors, artists, and cultural experts as special guests. Participants and audiences have appreciated the festival for promoting international collaboration and cultural dialogue through cinema.

Over the next four days, the festival will feature international panel discussions, forums, and film screenings. These sessions aim to highlight India’s cultural and mythological heritage while encouraging global dialogue through the medium of cinema.

IFFAS 2026 is being seen as a significant step toward establishing Ujjain as an emerging global hub for cultural and cinematic exchange in India.
