A tragic fire incident in Indore on Wednesday claimed the lives of eight people, including three children, leaving families and local residents in deep shock.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited Indore on Thursday and met the bereaved families, offering his condolences and support during this difficult time.

The Chief Minister reached Janjeerwala Square, where he interacted with the victims’ families at the Jain Shwetambar Terapanthi Sabhagruh, holding a compassionate discussion with them.

Saurabh, the elder son of deceased Manoj Pugaliya, alleged that the fire brigade did not arrive on time, suggesting that timely response could have saved lives.

Speaking to the media, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav termed the incident extremely unfortunate, noting that doors getting jammed inside the house worsened the situation. He assured that the government will wait for the investigation report and take necessary steps to prevent such incidents in the future.

He also mentioned that the state government is working on improving the safety of EV charging systems and electronic locks in homes.

Officials have inspected the incident site, and the Chief Minister has decided to consult institutions like IIT to develop measures that can help prevent such tragedies in the future.
