UP FIRST . Lucknow Green Corridor Road Collapses Just Two Days After Inauguration .

A shocking incident has come to light from Lucknow, raising serious questions about the recently inaugurated Green Corridor project. The road, which was launched with the promise of easing traffic congestion in the city, has come under scrutiny just two days after its inauguration.

The incident occurred on Birbal Sahni Marg near Khatu Shyam Temple, where a portion of the road suddenly caved in, creating a nearly five-foot-deep crater. According to initial reports, the collapse was caused by leakage in a sewer line passing beneath the road, which weakened the surface and led to the sudden subsidence.

What makes the situation more surprising is that the Green Corridor was inaugurated only two days ago by India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The project was expected to provide relief from traffic congestion to nearly five lakh residents of the city.

As soon as the incident was reported, teams from the Jal Kal Department and the construction agency reached the spot and began repair work. Officials stated that the sewer line connected to the pumping system in the area had developed a leakage, which ultimately caused the road surface to sink.

However, the incident has sparked serious questions about the quality of construction and oversight. Many are now asking how a newly inaugurated road could collapse within just two days and whether negligence or technical lapses were involved in the project.
