In Nagri of Chhattisgarh, internal conflict within the BJP has come out in the open. Party workers have staged a protest against former MLA Pinki Shivraj Shah, raising serious allegations. A large number of party workers and local residents gathered at the BJP office in Nagri, where they shouted slogans and expressed strong opposition.

What is the issue?
The controversy is related to the proposed construction of a community hall in Wards 9 and 10. Despite the foundation stone being laid, the construction work has not yet begun.
Angry workers allege that the project has been stalled under pressure from the former MLA, leading to growing resentment among locals.

Serious Allegations Raised
During the protest, workers also questioned the use of a government residence linked to the former MLA. They claimed that despite not holding office, a security guard continues to stay there, which they say violates rules.

10-Day Ultimatum Issued
The protesting workers have issued a 10-day ultimatum, warning that if construction does not begin soon, they will collectively resign from the party’s primary membership and launch a larger agitation.

Reacting to the situation, BJP district president Prakash Bains described it as an internal party matter. He assured that efforts are underway to pacify the workers and resolve the issue fast .
