In view of the rising heatwave conditions across the state, the Chhattisgarh government has revised the summer vacation schedule for schools, prioritizing the health and safety of students. As per directives issued by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the summer holidays will now be observed from April 20 to June 15, 2026, instead of the earlier schedule from May 1 to June 15.
Decision Taken to Safeguard Children’s Health

Emphasizing the seriousness of the situation, CM Sai stated that ensuring the health and safety of children during extreme heat is a collective responsibility. He noted that the decision to advance the vacation was taken as a precautionary measure to protect students from the adverse effects of intense heat and heatwaves sweeping across the region.
Order Applicable to All Schools
According to the official order issued by the School Education Department, Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, the revised vacation schedule will be applicable to:
Government schools
Aided institutions
Unaided schools
Private schools

across the entire state.
