From Aditi came the Devas; from Diti, the Daityas; from Danu, the Danavas; from Kadru, the Nagas; from Vinata, Garuda; from Surasa, the Rakshasas; from Arishta, the Gandharvas; from Ira, the Vanaspatis (vegetation); from Tamra, the birds; from Krodhavasha, the predatory animals; from Muni, the Apsaras; from Surabhi, the bovine species; and from Sarma, the canine species.
A total of 13 lineages. From Devas to Rakshasas, from Nagas to Apsaras, from beasts to birds—every realm of consciousness, every frequency, is covered. This constitutes the complete cast list for this 3D theater of existence.

The account of the progenitor of the Mlecchas—Adam—and his consort, Havyavati, is also detailed within this very section. Assuming the guise of a serpent, Kaliyuga deceived Havyavati, thereby giving rise to the Mleccha lineage. In other words, the “Adam and Eve” narrative is already recorded within the scriptures.
