Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang today flagged off a cycle rally organized by the Sports Authority of India (SAI CRC Bhopal) from MANIT College, Bhopal, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the “Sunday on Cycle” campaign under the Fit India Mission. On this occasion, Minister Sarang himself participated in the cycling event and encouraged talented players who performed exceptionally well by felicitating them.

Campaign to Strengthen the Fit India Movement
Minister Sarang said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s message is that “India will be successful only if India is fit.” The Fit India Movement was launched with the aim of spreading this idea to every citizen. The “Sunday on Cycle” program is an extension of this philosophy, which inspires citizens to adopt regular exercise, an active lifestyle, and discipline.
Cycling: Beneficial for Both Health and Environment
Minister Sarang said that cycling is not only beneficial for physical health, cardiovascular health, and mental well-being, but it is also an effective means of environmental protection, pollution control, and fuel conservation. Such events increase health awareness in society and strengthen the foundation for a clean and green future.
Message of Fit India – Healthy India
Minister Sarang appealed to the citizens to embrace the resolution of “Fit India – Healthy India,” join campaigns like “Sunday on Cycle,” and play an active role in building a healthy India. The cycle rally started from MANIT College and concluded back at MANIT College after passing through various routes including Depot Chauraha and PNT. The message of fitness, environmental protection, and a disciplined lifestyle was conveyed to the public throughout the route.
